Life Is About You
Your life is about you: you don’t live for others; you don’t live solely to meet obligations and expectations. Take yourself seriously! You are strong, intelligent, good-looking, and capable. Trust yourself.
Don’t accept others’ opinions of you. Don’t believe advertisers who tell you that you are deficient and will achieve social acceptance thanks to their product.
If someone calls you stupid, ugly, and worthless, don’t break down. Ask yourself what the person’s motifs are. The person who wants you to believe that you are stupid, ugly, and worthless has an agenda. They might benefit from tearing you down, or they may want to control you.
Don’t be swayed. Don’t get manipulated or used. Don’t volunteer to become a pawn in anyone’s game. Don’t “buy” promises. Don’t allow yourself to be programmed.
Avoid pitfalls:
• Don’t be a shopaholic. When you shop, you enrich others at the expense of your time and work.
• Don’t be a big spender unless you have way too much money.
• Don’t carry debt. Your debt puts money in other people’s pockets, not yours.
• Don’t be a workaholic. Loyalty and self-sacrifice don’t pay. Time is passing, and you won’t get it back.
• Don’t be a TV, social media, or Internet addict. Learn to enjoy silence in which you can hear your own thoughts. Your thoughts, aspirations, hope, dreams, and actions have the most value.
Examine your “shoulds” and ask yourself why you “should” and whether you really “should”!
Don’t surrender. Don’t compromise your personal goals. Build your own life. Create your destiny. Work to meet your objectives. Work to create a life outside of the hamster wheel. Every life is limited in time. Are you willing to sacrifice 67 of your years to make the few powerful, even wealthier? What could you possibly start at 67?…. Don’t wait until then. Plan now, work now, and then: instead of envying or admiring those who have a good life; live it yourself!
In short: Life is not about chasing or being chased. Believe in yourself. Know your rights. Grow your money. Live!
